Fire services responded to a fire at St Leonards-on-Sea

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed there was a fire at an industrial building in St Leonards-on-Sea.

The service was called to reports of a fire at an industrial building fire in Theaklen Drive in the East Sussex town, at 20:14 on Tuesday (19 March).

At the height of the incident, four fire engines were in attendance with firefighters from Hastings Bohemia Road, Bexhill and Broad Oak using two breathing apparatus, one main jet and one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.

The fire was extinguished by 9.01pm.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. The incident was then scaled down to one appliance.

There were no reports of any casualties.

The cause of the fire is unknown and a fire investigation will take place in due course.
