A house fire near Bognor Regis is believed to have been caused by a faulty battery charger.

It happened inside an end of terrace home in Wroxham Way, Felpham, at around 6pm on Sunday evening (18 October).

Crews from Bognor Regis, Chichester and Littlehampton attended the scene, along with the Aerial Ladder Platform.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said:

"Upon arrival crews were faced with a developing fire in a first floor bedroom at the rear of the property and there were fears that the fire had spread to the roof space.
