Thousands of votes have been counted across Sussex after voters went to the polls for the General Election on Thursday (July 4th).

Declarations have been taking place overnight to find out which MPs will be representing our county at Westminster for the next five years.

The night has seen the Liberal Democrats make gains at the Conservatives' expense in Sussex - including defeating Edcuation Secretary Gillian Keegan in Chichester.

They also claimed seats like Lewes and Horsham, while Labour made gains in Worthing, Shoreham, Crawley and Hastings.
