Elderly man dies following fatal crash in St Leonards

The 86-year-old was hit by a car on Saturday

An elderly man has died after getting hit by a car in St Leonards.

The 86-year-old pedestrian was in a collision with a Ford Focus car in Old Harrow Road, near the roundabout with the A21, on the afternoon of Saturday, December 12th.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died.

Police said his next of kin have been informed and the driver involved was uninjured.

An investigation has now begun into the circumstances of the crash.

Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
