Eddie Izzard's lost out in a bid to become a Labour MP in Brighton.
The 61-year-old comedian, who also goes by the name Suzy, was standing to be Labour's candidate in Brighton Pavilion at the next general election.
It is the only seat currently held by the Green Party - but it's MP Caroline Lucas announced in June she'd be standing down at the next election.
The local party instead chose Mercury Prize winning musician and activist Tom Gray, who sung in rock band Gomez, to represent them in the seat.
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Gray said he was "delighted and humbled" to be chosen as Labour's candidate for the seat.
Mr Gray also thanked Ms Izzard and fellow Brighton Councillors, Birgit Miller and Lucy Heliwell, for their "solidarity and integrity on the trail."
Ms Izzard, a long-time Labour Party activist, had previously been unsuccessful in a bid to stand as the party's candidate in Sheffield Central.
