Eastbourne's midwifery unit closed until Friday
They said staffing challenges were behind the temporary closure

Eastbourne's midwifery unit has been closed until Friday.
Writing on Facebook, the unit said no labour care or births would take at the Eastbourne District General Hospital site until 22nd December "with immediate effect."
It said staffing challenges within the community team were behind the temporary closure.
The unit added it believed this to be the safest option currently available, and that staffing levels would be reviewed on Friday.
Anyone with concerns has been asked to contact the unit or their community midwife.
The unit adds anyone with immediate concerns should contact the triage service, which remains open.
