East Grinstead murder suspect released on bail
The 69-year-old woman was detained after a 61-year-old man was found dead on Thursday (December 19th)
Police have conditionally bailed a woman arrested on suspicion of murdering a man in East Grinstead.
Officers were called to reports of a domestic incident in Paddock Gardens at around 7.45pm on Thursday (December 19th).
A 61-year-old man was found seriously injured and was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene.
Sussex Police said his next of kin have been told and are continuing to receive support from specialist officers.
A 69-year-old woman, who was known to him, was released from custody on Sunday (December 22nd) as investigations continue.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Jon Gillings, said:
“This remains an active investigation, and our officers are working around the clock to establish the exact circumstances of the victim’s tragic death.
“In the meantime, I would urge the public to refrain from speculating, but instead to come forward and make contact with us should they have any information that can assist in our investigation.”
