Driver killed in crash with tractor-trailer in Petworth
Police are appealing for witnesses
A driver has died after his car collided with a tractor and trailer in Petworth last night (Thursday 22nd).
Police were called to the crash, which involved a blue Toyota RAV4, on Station Road at 7.20pm.
The 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, with Sussex Police saying his next of kin have been informed.
The tractor driver, a 32-year-old man, was uninjured.
The carriageway has been closed at the junction of Rotherbridge Lane and Kilsham Lane southbound for investigation work and is likely to remain closed through Friday morning.
