Driver dies following collision in Bognor Regis

A driver has died after two cars collided in Bognor Regis last night (June 26th).

Emergency services were called to Shripney Road at around 8.45pm following the crash, which involved a red Nissan Qashqai and a black Audi on the northbound stretch.

The driver of the Nissan, a 46-year-old man from Bognor Regis, was pronounced dead a the scene.

Sussex Police said his next of kin have been informed.

His passenger, a 30-year-old woman also from the town, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Audi, a 23-year-old man from Bersted, was arrested for failing to provide a specimen, before being taken to hospital by the ambulance service with serious injuries.

Police have launched an investigation to understand the full circumstances of the situation.
