Driver airlifted to hospital following A21 crash

The collision involved a car and a Jeep

A driver has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the A21 in East Sussex.

The crash happened between Sedlescombe and Whatlington, just north of the Marley Lane junction, at just before 2pm on Monday (October 7th).

Police said the incident involved a silver Skoda Citigo and a grey Jeep Compass.

The Skoda driver, a 62-year-old man from St Leonards, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition as of Thursday (October 10th).

The driver of the Jeep, a 59-year-old woman from Kent, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.

Officers are investigating, and witnesses or anyone with relevant information such as CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicles in the area at the time is asked to come forward.
