Downton Abbey star joins West Sussex Covid-19 vaccination efforts
Hugh Bonneville is working as a marshal at a centre in the county
Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville is doing his bit to help the coronavirus vaccine rollout in West Sussex - after receiving the jab himself.
The actor, best known for his role as the Earl of Grantham in the hit TV drama, has been offering his service as a marshal at a centre in Midhurst.
57-year-old Hugh shared an image on social media of himself receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine on Friday (January 29th).
Hugh wrote:
" Midhurst’s Riverbank Medical Centre started vaccinating last week. Today Midhurst Pharmacy, led by Raj Rohilla, joined the rollout in north West Sussex.
"Delighted to be part of the support team as a volunteer marshall. I get to wear hi viz and everything."
The star joins the likes of naturalist Sir David Attenborough, actor Sir Ian McKellen and Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith in receiving the vaccine.
