Dogs die in West Sussex farm fire

The blaze broke out at Bignor near Pulborough early this morning

Two dogs have died in a blaze involving a farm building and shed in West Sussex.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service posted on social media indicating that five fire crews were called to Bignor Park Road at Bignor near Pulborough around 5am this morning (Sunday 6 Feb).

Crews from Littlehampton, Petworth and Midhurst were among those who tackled the flames.

In an update at around 7.30am West Sussex Fire and Rescue said:

"The fire is now extinguished and crews have left the scene."

"Although there are no human casualties, very sadly two dog have died as a result of this morning’s incident. Our thoughts are with the family affected at this time."
