Detectives investigate rape of woman on Bognor beach

The victim was attacked near The Esplanade shortly after midnight

Detectives are investigating the rape of a woman in Bognor Regis.

The victim was attacked by an unknown man on the beach just off from The Esplanade, between the Junctions with Lennox Street and Clarence Road, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, June 20.

She is currently being supported by specialist officers while enquiries continue.

The Suspect is described to be in his late 20s or early 30s, around 5’10” and of slim build with light brown hair.

He was also said to be wearing a black t-shirt and grey jogging bottoms.

Police are urgently appealing for any witnesses to come forward, or anyone who saw suspicious behaviour around that time.
