Drug dealer who helped run Crawley country line jailed

A drug dealer's been jailed for more than three years after helping to run a county line in Crawley.

Sussex Police suspected Omar Shackleton was running class A substances through the town as part of the 'JJ' County Drug Line.

A warrant to search his Kent home was executed on 8 March, and substances with an estimated street value of £4,000 were found.

Officers also discovered approximately £5,035 cash, drug paraphernalia and numerous mobile phones.

An extendable weapon - classified as an offensive weapon - was also seized.

Shackleton, 31, of Halstead Place, Halstead, was arrested and charged with possession to supply class A drugs, possession of criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon.

He pleaded guilty to all offences and at Lewes Crown Court on 2 July, was sentenced to three years and one month in prison.
