Competition to find name for multi-million pound Sussex health hub
Bosses are asking us for suggestions
A competition's been launched to find a permanent name for a state-of-the-art new building at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Work on the 3Ts project, which will replace the buildings on the front half of the site, is due to be completed next year.
Once it's finished, it will be home to 32 wards and services in total, with an estimated 1 million people using it every year.
Voters are now being asked for their suggestions on what it should be called between now and August 28th.
Suggestions are being limited to those around three words long and we're being asked to make them relevant to Sussex as a whole, while being meaningful to the 'broad range of people that the hospital serves'.
It means suggestions like 'Hospital McHospital Face' will - unfortunately - not be accepted.
The new building also won't be able to borrow a name already used by another public building in Sussex.
The best suggestions put forward will go for consideration by the University Hospitals Sussex Trust board, who will make the final decision.
You can add your suggestion via the UH Sussex website.
