Charity boxes stolen from Bognor takeaway
Police have called the break-in 'callous'
Police have branded a break-in at a Bognor takeaway, in which four charity boxes were stolen, as 'callous'.
CCTV footage has been issued in connection with the burglary at Royals Fish and Chips in Central Avenue in the early hours of last Tuesday morning (August 23rd).
Two men got into the building by breaking a window at around 2.30am, before taking the boxes and fleeing the scene.
One of the suspects is described as a white man wearing a dark coloured jacket and a dark baseball cap.
PC Connor Thomas-Perry, of the Bognor Regis Neighbourhood Response Team, said:
“This was a callous burglary whereby a substantial amount of money has been stolen from four respective charity boxes, collecting for a range of different causes including the Royal Air Force, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Fisherman’s Federation and Macmillan Cancer Support.”
