CCTV out after man knocked unconscious at Sussex train station

The victim suffered serious injuries in the incident

Police have released CCTV images in connection with a serious assault on a man at Hassocks railway station.

British Transport Police said the incident started on a service travelling from Brighton at just after 11pm on June 11th.

A man slapped the victim on the head a number of times before pouring beer over him.

Both men got off the train at Hassocks station when the man punched the victim, causing him to fall to the platform floor unconscious.

The victim suffered fractures to his face and skull as a result of the assault.

Police are looking to speak to this man in connection with an assault on June 11th.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.
