Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to interview about an attack on a customer in a convenience store in Littlehampton.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, was waiting outside the Wick Express store in Wick Road in a socially distanced manner when the incident happened at around 4.30pm on March 30th.

Another man brushed past him and went straight into the store. When the customer challenged this behaviour a fight broke out in which the customer was punched to the head and the suspect was seen to produce a hunting style knife before leaving and cycling off towards the town centre.

The customer sustained grazes to his hand and head.

The suspect is described as black, in his early twenties, 5'10", with black afro-style hair.

He was wearing a grey puffa jacket, black beanie hat and black tracksuit bottoms.

Investigator Martin George of Sussex Police said;

"If you can help us trace this man, or if you also saw anything of what happened, please contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 991 of 30/03."
