Businesses in West Sussex step in to provide meals for school children

Businesses across West Sussex are offering free school meals this half term.

Footballer Marcus Rashford has spent all day re-tweeting businesses who are stepping in to make sure children do not go hungry this half term.

Earlier this week MPs voted not to extend free school meals into the half-term and Christmas holidays, a motion that had been inspired by Rashford’s fight against food poverty.

The Manchester United and England footballer has been retweeting businesses, community groups and councils across the country which have committed to offering free food for children from low-income families.
