Brighton's Victoria Fountain returns to Old Stein
The historic fountain was removed last year after a number of structural problems were discovered
Brighton Old Stein’s Victoria Fountain has returned after undergoing specialist restoration work.
The historic 32ft structure, also known as the Dolphin Fountain, is now being carefully re-assembled behind hoardings while the Old Stein hosts the Spiegeltent during Brighton Fringe Festival.
It was switched off in January last year after a number of structural problems were discovered – and a new reinforced concrete base has now been installed
The city council said work should be complete by June – with an unveiling later that month.
