Hundreds of Santas to sprint down Brighton seafront as charity dash begins
It's all to raise money for the Rockinghorse children's charity
Hundreds of Father Christmases will run, jog and walk down Brighton seafront this morning as the city's annual charity Santa Dash begins.
The festive fundraiser sees participants complete 5k while dressed up to raise money for the Rockinghorse Children's Charity, which supports sick and disabled children across Sussex.
Sprinting Santas will complete a route up the Seafront Esplanade, turning round to complete the other 2.5k once they reach Hove Lagoon.
Organiser John Gladwin described it as a "brilliant spectacle": "It's just fun from when people turn up.
"It's just everyone with a smile on their face, getting their suit on.
"The crowd gets bigger and bigger and bigger until they're all on the start line and it looks fantastic, with the pier in the background and six or seven hundred Santas lined up, everyone in the same outfit."
The race begins at 10:30am.
