A runner from Brighton is planning to run the equivalent of the distance from Brighton and Hove Albion's Amex stadium to his wife's home city of Dnipro in Ukraine.

Anthony Seddon is taking on the mammoth task to raise money for vital medical supplies to be sent to the country as the war with Russia rages on.

So far, Anthony has managed to raise over £10,000 and some medical supplies have already made it to Poland.

Anthony told Greatest Hits Radio that while his mother-in-law had managed to escape the country, many of his wife's other friends and family remain trapped.

He said: "Her brother is there, his family, all her friends. It's the city she was born in and lived in for the first 20 years of her life. It's hard for any of us over here to really know how that feels.

"I'm signed up for the Brighton 10k in a couple of weeks, the Worthing run fest I'll be doing a half marathon. I'll also run a 10k at Goodwood.

"My wife has just shown me a picture of our last delivery to Poland arriving in Dnipro which is the easiest motivation I've ever had."
