A man has been arrested and charged with multiple drug offences in Brighton, after authorities seized Crystal Meth valued at approximately £140,000.
Jack Pierce, 56, of Clyde Road, Brighton, was apprehended after police discovered a cache of Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth), cocaine, ketamine, MDMA tablets, herbal cannabis, and prescription medication during the search on Tuesday, 29 July.
Alongside the drugs, officers also confiscated a significant amount of cash and two taser devices.
Pierce faces nine charges, including possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs, acquiring criminal property, and possession of two weapons capable of electrical discharge.
He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 30 July and was released on bail ahead of his next court appearance on 27 August.
Detective Superintendent Kris Ottery from Brighton and Hove divisional policing said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supplies and maintain community safety.
Ottery highlighted the timing of the warrant, noting the importance of removing harmful substances and weapons from the streets ahead of the city’s Pride event this weekend.
