A teenage boy has suffered a significant facial injury following an assault in Worthing.

The 15-year-old was attacked while riding his bike through an underpass between Limbrick Lane and Mulberry Crescent in Goring before 4.45pm on Friday, September 1.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are now trying to identify a suspect, described as a white teenage boy with blonde hair – who was reported to be with two girls and another boy.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to an elderly couple in the area at the time and are appealing for anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or via 101, quoting serial 1033 of 01/09.
