Arrest following disturbance in Brighton Euro 2024 fan zone

It happened during England's game with Denmark last Thursday (June 20th)

Police investigating a disturbance at a Euro 2024 fan park in Brighton have made an arrest.

The incident took place inside the temporary venue in Central Park at around 6.40pm on Thursday (June 20th), roughly around the end of England's Group C match with Denmark.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man in nearby Richmond Parade shortly afterwards.

Billy White, who's 25 and of Alfriston Close in Brighton, was charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon, and one count of affray.

He appeared before magistrates, and has been bailed to appear before Lewes Crown Court on July 22nd.

Sussex Police officers are carrying out patrols and working with partners including the security team at the Fan Park.
