Appeal for information launched after £50,000 burglary in Maresfield
The Uckfield home was robbed on May 1
Sussex Police has launched an appeal for witnesses and information, after a £50,000 burglary took place at a home in Uckfield.
On May 1, it was reported one man entered the home through an upstairs window around 12pm, with another hiding in the garden.
CCTV footage captured the men running away, carrying a large black handbag, a large tan handbag and a medium light grey handbag.
Designer bags and watches were stolen from the home near to the Maresfield service station on the Uckfield bypass A26, in the area of the Blackdown Roundabout and London Road.
Police say the first man was wearing a black balaclava, black coat with a hood, black gloves, blue jeans and navy trainers with a white trim.
The second wore a black balaclava, white t-shirt with a black undershirt, black jeans, shoes and gloves, and was carrying a black rucksack.
Detective Constable Kieran Morris said: “We are actively investigating this burglary and have made a number of inquiries and are compiling all the evidence we can to aid in this investigation.
“We are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or have information about the men, the vehicle, or the stolen items to help us in our investigation.”
