Man charged after 'noxious substance' thrown over victim

Sussex Police say a man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a woman had a noxious substance, believed to be acid, thrown in her face while walking home in St Leonards.

Clive Fullick, 54, of Stonehouse Drive, St Leonards, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (3 March).

He's been remanded in custody and is due to appear at crown court on 31 March. He is also charged with possession of cannabis.

The 31-year-old victim was attacked in the early hours of Wednesday this week (2 March) in Stonehouse Drive after being approached by a man Police say was 'known to her'. She was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not life threatening or life changing.
