Man stabbed in Farnham

A 19 year old man remains in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in Farnham yesterday evening (14 November).

The attack happened at around 5:30pm as the victim was walking towards the footbridge in the Weydon Lane area.

Police say he was approached by the suspect who stabbed him in the stomach.

Officers are are urging anyone who was in the area around the time of the attack or who noticed anything suspicious to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Jo Smith said:

“We’d like to urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or anyone who may have information about this incident to get in touch with us straightaway.

I understand that this incident is concerning to the local community and I’d like to reassure residents that we are doing everything we can to find who is responsible.

Residents should stay alert to any suspicious behaviour and report anything, no matter how minor, to 101.”
