There are worries for older people in Surrey and East Hampshire, as temperatures continue to drop.

Age UK Surrey say they see more calls in these colder months - mainly to do with the cost of living, with many struggling to pay their bills.

Catherine Jezierski from the charity tells us:

"Winter is always a tough time for people; boilers break down, people are struggling with the cost of living.

"People call us asking for food bank referrals and help with their electivity and gas.

"People are really struggling to pay these bills.

"We had a lady call in recently she's not put the heating on, she's wearing lots of layers and she wants to know how she can get hold of the foodbanks she's heard of on the television.

"If anyone needs to get in contact with us, you can get us through our website or ring us direct on 01483503414. Leave a message and we will get back to you."
