Woman in 70s dies after being hit by car in Chertsey

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision

A female pedestrian has died following a collision with a car in Chertsey this morning (9 March).

The collision, involving a woman in her 70s and a black Audi A4, occurred in Chertsey Lane around 8.50am.

Paramedics treated her at the scene, but she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

The driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.

The road remains closed in both directions.

Surrey Police are appealing for those who witnessed the collision, particularly anyone with any dashcam footage, to contact them straightaway.
