Woman dies following crash on A3
The collision happened at around 2am on Tuesday (11 January)
A woman in her twenties has died following a crash on the A3 on Tuesday morning (11 January).
Emergency services were called to the A3 between the Send Junction and Guildford Junction at around 2am following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a car.
The woman, in her mid twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both directions of carriageway remains closed while emergency services, deal with the incident.
It is expected that the road will remain closed for another few hours.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing.
