Woman airlifted to hospital following four vehicle crash on M25 in Surrey

Emergency services are currently dealing with a serious crash on the M25 in Surrey.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to Junction 9 on the anticlockwise side shortly before 9am on Wednesday (15 September).

Surrey Police say four vehicles were involved in the collision and an air ambulance attended the scene.

A 50 year old woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

One of the lanes of the carriageway has since been re-opened and police are working with Highways England to open the rest of the road.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
