Woking man arrested after death of motorcyclist

A 23 year old man from Woking has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a crash on Wednesday (6 October).

A 49 year old motorcyclist died in the collision with a Renault Traffic van on the A281 Guildford Road junction with Hornshill Lane in Rudgewick near Horsham.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5:40pm but the rider, a man on a red Ducati Streetfighter motorbike, was declared dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been told.

The Woking man arrested had been driving the van and was not injured.

He has since been released under investigation.
