Woking FC have sacked their manager and his assistant.

It came just hours after they were thrashed four-nil at Gateshead in the national league.

In a statement they thanked Michael Doyle and his assistant Ben Turner for helping the club avoid relegation last season.

Woking are currently one point from the relegation zone and have only picked up one point in their last four games.

Just a few days ago the club confirmed the Cardinal Group had become the majority shareholders.

The club say plans are 'in place to move forward as quickly and efficiently as possible'.
