A driver from Woking won't be able to get behind the wheel for two years after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
The 47 year old was arrested on the A320 in Chertsey on 11 December, after crashing his car into a taxi whilst on the Six Crossroads roundabout.
He was charged with driving with 92mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
At Guildford Magistrates’ Court on 7 February, he was disqualified from driving for two years, ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered to complete a rehabilitation programme.
He was among 174 motorists arrested during Surrey Police’s festive crackdown on drink and drug-drivers, which ran from 1 December to 1 January.
Of those, 23 have already since been convicted in court.
The remaining have either been charged, released under investigation, or released without charge.
