Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Stanwell.

Officers were called to Stanwell Moor Road shortly after 7am on Wednesday, 3 July following reports of a collision involving the driver of a car and the rider of a motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains at this time.

The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, has been arrested for causing serious injury through dangerous driving.

Stanwell Moor Road was closed for several hours but has now reopened.

They are now looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who might have seen a silver Volvo car or a red Honda motorcycle in the area in the moments beforehand. We are particularly interested in the manner of driving of the silver Volvo.

Were you driving along Stanwell Moor Road between 7am and 7.10am on Wednesday morning? Do you have any CCTV, dash cam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident?
