Witness appeal following alleged racially-aggravated public order offence in Epsom

A man in his 50s allegedly targeted passers-by and shouted racial abuse at them.

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a racially-aggravated public order offence that's alleged to have occurred on Epsom High Street on Friday 9 August.

The incident is said to have happened at around 7.30pm in Derby Square and involved a man allegedly targeting passers-by and shouting racial abuse at them.

A 53-year-old man from Epsom was arrested suspicion of racially aggravated public order and has been released on bail.
