Witness appeal launched after death of man in Guildford

A witness appeal has been launched following the death of a man in his 40s in Guildford.

Police say he passed away at an address on the Mount between the 17th and 19th of April.

A post-mortem is due to take place, but police are looking to establish the man's movements in the days prior to his death.

Officers are particularly looking to speak to anyone who might have seen him walking and interacting with another man on Portsmouth Road at the junction with The Mount at around 10pm on Friday, 14 April.

The man who died is described as White with a slim build. He had short, light-coloured hair and was wearing dark jeans and a dark jacket with a fur trim hood. He may also have been wearing a baseball cap.

The man he was interacting with was a White man with a medium build. He had a closely shaved head, short beard and was wearing glasses. He had dark trousers and a dark jacket on.
