Author: Grace McGachyPublished 10th Sep 2021

It is World Suicide Prevention Day today and anyone who may be struggling is being reminded there is always someone to talk to.

The Samaritans, along with other organisations, come together every year on the 10th of September to raise awareness of how many people are dying by suicide, and what can be done to lower it.

New data shows 220 people in Surrey and Hampshire took their own life in 2020.

If you or anyone you know is struggling with their mental health or contemplating suicide you can find out more information from the NHS here.
