Crews called to warehouse fire in East Hampshire

Security staff raised the alarm after spotting smoke emanating from the building in Bordon

Fire fighters have been tackling a warehouse fire in East Hampshire overnight.

Security staff working at the property on Budds Lane, Bordon, raised the alarm at 3.34am after spotting smoke emanating from the building.

Fire fighters based at Bordon, Liphook, Alton, Petersfield, Rushmoor and Surrey FRS all attended the scene.

Crews wearing breathing equipment worked to tackle the fire, using fans to help clear smoke.

The fire was brought under control, with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue saying the incident was handed over to the building’s manager just after 9.00am.
