Surrey Police have released CCTV images of a man and a car following two more sexual exposures along the Basingstoke Canal in Woking.

Two women were targeted on the towpath in separate incidents earlier this month.

It is the latest in a string of offences in the area, going back over two years, with a 'canal watch' scheme also setup in a bid to tackle the issue.

No one has been charged over the incidents, with crimestoppers offering a £5,000 reward for information.

Officers were called after two separate woman was walking on the towpath near the Woodlands Avenue car park in Byfleet on 14 July, between 8.50pm and 9pm, when they were approached by a man who exposed his genitals to them.

Prior to these latest incidents, a string of offences had occurred over a large stretch of the Basingstoke Canal towpath, involving a range of female victims, from young teenagers to much older people, who were flashed at, or approached, in an intimidating and suspicious way.

In a statement Surrey Police said: “We are releasing this CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this investigation.

“The independent charity Crimestoppers is also offering a £5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction for the person or persons responsible for this ongoing criminal behaviour on the towpath. You can ring them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
