Two assaulted and left with facial injuries during assault at Alton pub

A man has been arrested after two people were assaulted at a pub in Alton.

The incident happened between 11:30pm on Sunday (25 July) and 12am on Monday (26 July), at the Bakers Arms on the High Street.

A 34-year-old woman left with facial injuries and an unknown man, is believed to have received similar injuries.

A 36-year-old from Alton was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and has been released on police bail.

Officers investigating are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident.
