Tier 4 restrictions mean most Surrey residents can't hit the Boxing Day Sales

The Boxing Day sales are often the best time of the year to bag yourself some cheap deals.

Normally hundreds flock to their High Street in Surrey and East Hampshire to look for a bargain.

But as all of Surrey and most of Hampshire are now in Tier 4 restrictions, non-essential shops remain closed apart from click and collect services.

People living in Tier 4 can be given a fixed penalty for venturing into an area with a lower level risk unnecessarily, or in fact even for leaving their home or garden.

So anyone who goes to get their hair done or have a meal out where these businesses are allowed to stay open could be made to fork out £200.
