Teen charged with murder after Camberley stabbing

A teenager has been charged following the murder of 17 year old Kyle Wright in Camberley.

The teenager, who is also 17 years old and from Camberley cannot be named for legal reasons.

He has been charged with murder, possession of a bladed article and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court later today (31 May).

Officers were called to Greenhill Road at the junction with Copped Hall Drive around 10.50pm on Friday night (27 May). following reports of a stabbing.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Kyle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A murder investigation and remains ongoing.

Kyle’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time.

On Tuesday (30 May) Kyle's mother paid tribute to him, describing him as a 'beloved, sweet, gentle son'.

The victim has been named as 17 year old Kyle Wright from Aldershot.
