Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a serious assault on 2 men in Seale

The man from Wood Street Village was arrested yesterday following an armed police raid at an address in Ash Vale.

A 47 year old man from Wood Street Village has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

It’s following a police raid on Friday when firearms officers entered an address in the Avondale Estate in Ash Vale.

It’s part of an investigation into an assault on 2 men that took place in Seale on Wednesday 7th July.

One of the victims, 18-years-old, was taken into hospital and treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The man’s now been released on conditional bail.

Surrey Police told us:

"Firearms Officers executed a warrant at an address in the Avondale Estate in Ash Vale at around 6pm on Friday (9th July). This was in relation to an ongoing investigation into a serious assault.

"This was in relation to an assault which took place in Seale on Wednesday, 7 July. Officers were called to the residential address at around 6:30pm following reports two men being serious assaulted. An 18 year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

"No arrests were made following this warrant but a 47 year-old man from Wood Street Village was arrested on the 12th July on suspicion of attempt murder. He has since been released under conditional bail."
