Surrey Police urges public to stick to restrictions as lockdown eases
Six people can now meet outside and outdoor sports facilities have reopened
As a number of restrictions eased yesterday (29th March) as part of England's roadmap out of lockdown, Surrey Police is urging us to stick to the rules.
Six people can now meet outside and outdoor sports facilities have reopened.
Surrey Police has sent us a statement regarding the latest changes:
"We will continue to police the restrictions using our 4Es approach – we will engage with members of the public and explain restrictions and if necessary, offer encouragement to comply.
Compliance in Surrey
"However, if the individual or group does not respond appropriately, then enforcement can follow without repeated attempts to encourage people to comply with the law.
"We have seen a high level of compliance in Surrey since the first lockdown in March 2020 and we would ask that people continue to take personal responsibility and follow the restrictions and guidance, which is there to control the virus, save lives and protect the NHS."
