Surrey Police have been working with other forces targeting county line criminals - with 60 different drugs lines taken out over the past six months.

They and Sussex Police have taken out over 60 different drugs lines as part of Op Orochi in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service.

As part of the operation, they, along with the Met Police and Essex Police, were involved in arresting a 26 year-old male from Hounslow on Monday (9 August), on suspicion of the supply of class A drugs.

The force said the aim is to tackle county lines and cut off the supply at the source - and put criminals behind bars.

DI Kate Hyder said: "For over two years we have been working collaboratively with other Forces to tackle county lines.

"Those criminals that are co-ordinating these drug lines are at the centre of our focus and we have been working hard to cut off the supply at the source."

What are the signs of potential drug dealing?

• Lots of visitors, who don't stay very long, arriving at all times of the day and night

• People waiting in cars outside particular properties exchanging small packets or cash

• Lots of visitors bringing items such as TVs or bikes but leaving empty handed

• Lone/vulnerable neighbours suddenly having groups of young men living at their address

What police want to know:

• Time, date and place

• Vehicle registrations and the make, model and colour

• Descriptions of people and details of what they were doing

If you are concerned about drug use or drug dealing in your area, you can contact police on 101 or via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

In an emergency, always dial 999.
