Fear can be fun at Halloween, but not for everyone which is why Surrey Police is offering free posters this spooky season.

They politely ask trick or treaters not to knock on a person's door.

You can also print off a poster that encourages trick or treaters.

Surrey Police say some people, especially those who are vulnerable or elderly, can feel intimidated by large numbers of trick or treaters knocking on their door.

If you're taking your young ones out for Halloween fun and residents don't have posters one way to decide whether to knock on someone's door is to look for decorations or pumpkins outside their home.

Posters can be downloaded and printed off here.
