Surrey Police have revealed that they have a dispersal order and extra officers out on patrol in Spelthorne, following disorder in Ashford during Halloween last year.

The order means that people suspected of anti-social behaviour in the area, with covers parts of Ashford and Staines, will have to leave for up to 48 hours.

The order starts at midday today (31/10/24) and runs until midday on the 1st November. It mainly covers Ashford, Staines-upon-Thames and Sunbury-on-Thames.

They're also warning trick-or-treaters that some people may not be happy to have them at their door.

The force are offering free signs to people, which show whether they're happy or not happy to have trick-or-treaters. The signs can be accessed here.
