Another severe weather warning has been issued for more fog across Surrey and Hampshire.

The Met Office yellow alert which goes up at 4pm today is also for freezing fog - with visibility less than 100 metres in parts.

It is in place until 11am tomorrow (8 December) and could also bring icy stretches.

It follows on from this morning's warning which saw fog covering our area through the rush hour and beyond..

The Met Office website says: "Fog and freezing fog will persist and become more widespread Monday evening, lasting into Tuesday morning.

"The visibility is likely to be less than 100 m in places leading to difficult driving conditions and some disruption to transport.

"The odd icy stretch is also possible."

Temperatures are set to drop later to lows of .-3 °C.

The forecast for Surrey and Hampshire tonight:

"Areas of fog or freezing fog will steadily develop and become widespread later in the night, particularly in the west. Cloudier and somewhat less cold in East Sussex and Kent. Minimum temperature -3 °C."
